Hi Ho Silver!

Guess what we did today?

We went horseback riding in the Andes Mountains and the scenery was fantastic . The choices were horse riding, white water rafting, kayaking, canopy zip lining or zip lining down the river.

Left the hotel with a guide at 9.00am for the Andes Mountains. Stopped along the way for pictures. Believe it or not we saw Hansel and Gretel's house (it's a restaurant now).

We arrived at the horse riding stables at about 12noon and organised to ride for 2 and a half hours. The trek was really steep going up and even steeper going down. The horses knew just what to do so the all basically followed each other. There was only the horse whisperer, Geoff and I. The horse whisperer could not speak any English so it was funny trying to converse with him. We managed to get the 'Bueno' meaning 'good', thumbs up, si and no so this was funny when he was talking to us. He would talk on and raise his eyebrows; and we would go 'no comprendo'.   We all definitely managed ok to communicate what we needed to.

Rooftop again for a cleansing ale after we arrived back just after 5.00pm and then back out to the city to explore a little more. The city is very clean as everyone is sweeping the autumn leaves away. All the trees are so colourful and sometimes it is raining leaves.

We had dinner at a local Chilean café at the recommendation of the guide who picked us up from the airport on Saturday. Food was really quick and hot. We washed down the tasty dinner with another beer. I am glad we have to walk for about 25 minutes back to our hotel to burn some off these calories.
