Weather overcast, Temperature 18 to 9 degrees, Sunrise 7.15am sunset 5.56pm.

 This morning after breakfast we catch a first glimpse of the Iguazzu Falls which our hotel is located opposite of these falls . Our hotel is located right in the Iguazzu National Park. Awe are the first group to start the 1 km walk along the trail (concreted and good steps) and we have no other people in our photos which is great for a change, not like Christ the Redeemer where it was standing room only.
All of the vistas are breath taking and each one keeps getting better. I can' help but keep snapping amazing pictures. Along the trail we get to walk along the walkway which goes out to the middle of the falls. We wear a poncho as it is wet with the waterfall spray and wind from the turbulent falls. There are viewing platforms right at the edge where the falls come crashing down.

We head off to a bird park where there are heaps of exotic birds but before we enter there is a business offering helicopter flights across the road where the tour leader asks for any takers. Of course we put up our hands and there are also 3 others for the helicopter flight over the falls. The weather was only overcast so no problems with viewing the falls . The views were just breath taking and then we head back to the bird park for a visit.

Later this afternoon we do a Safari ride to the Iguazzu Falls which is a ride through the jungle explaining some of the vegetation and a jet boat which goes up the river and then immerses all of its passengers into the real Iguazzu experience of the falls.  The waterfall which we went under was called The Three Musketeers a couple of times. Geoff and I changed into our swimming togs but man was it cold Brrrrrrrr but definitely exhilarating.

Back to the hotel to warm up and some time to ourselves so we revisit the trail as the guide has indicated that the flow has changed from 1400 cubic metres per second this morning to 1500 cubic metres this afternoon. Gee you can really notice the difference as now there is so much more spray.
