As we were making our way to Amsterdam, Steve and Lori were already in Venice and Steve provided this update on their travels...

We made it to our hotel and checked in okay . What's that smell? It's fantastic! We are staying in a B&Bb called Traverna San Lio and we're on the second floor well away from any water... :)

We bought what we thought was a ticket for the bus and water-bus combination at the machine at the airport beside the baggage claim for 15euros only to find that the water-bus we tried to get on was some other company and would not accept our ticket so there goes some wasted euros to the Italians...:(

The water-bus took us, what seemed, to the very end of the line at Rialto bridge, but navigating to the B&B was stressful lugging the baggage. Did I mention Lori's bag blew a wheel? Just call me Sherpa...

Oh well, we are in the restaurant below the B&B partaking in some much need sustenance...bring on the spaghetti!

Then on for some sightseeing...holy crap, its like a friggin rats maze around here.
