Well, it was still cold today. Enough said.
In the morning, we visited Tower Bridge and London Bridge, which are not that far apart
. At Tower Bridge, you catch a lift to the top and walk across. Then go down under the bridge to see the old hydraulics. Amazing for Victorian engineering.
London Bridge was completely different. In comparison, the bridge is brand new and completely underwhelming. Just a modern road bridge. But the history of this bridge is much longer and more interesting. We saw a cross between a theme park ghost train ride, theatre restaurant, and history seminar. Very good. Screamed more times than I'd care to admit.
In the afternoon, we stumbled on Borough Market and bought some fudge, then visited Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, then walked to Trafalgar Square. We topped off the day with fish and chips at a nearby pub, exhausted.
