Hampton Court Palace and the West End

Today we travelled to Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIII's palace.

When we arrived at Hampton court train station we looked for the palace and how to get there . Luckily for us the palace was just over the bridge and across the road. The first thing we noticed about Hampton court was how unimpressive it was from the outside, so after a brief moment of utter confusion we made our way to information to get maps and other useful things.

Now as I said the outside of the palace was fairly dull so you could imagine the surprise we got when we entered the first court. Then the second. Then the third. It got better and better. The back yard was straight out of Alice in Wonderland, but it was unreal. We had lunch where they once held jousting tournaments, and then unbelievably we ran into his majesty himself, Henry!

On the way home we stopped by Leicester Square and came across M&M world where there was a Union Jack made out of M&Ms - the shop was manic.

In the evening, we went to the west end to see Singing in the Rain. We were in the second row upstairs, the seats were perfectly close enough to see clearly but far away enough to not get wet from the splashing in the water scenes. Thursday was all round a brilliant day.
