We came in to this RV park around 2pm on Friday, expecting to stay 2 nights. One, to just take a breather, two, because it has such fantastic views and three, so that we will not be going to Carlsbad Caverns on a Saturday, which could be very crowded.

However, we ended up staying an additional day due to one of our hydraulic jacks not retracting properly. I spent all day Sunday trying to troubleshoot it. Of course, no one was available to help via phone or otherwise. It was Easter Sunday ! So, Monday morning, I finally figured it out and got the jack retracted and off we went to Carlsbad.





 

We did get to wander around the surrounding desert so that Kim could find some pretty cool rocks to collect (like Lucy) and some wildflower photos.
