Cedar City, Utah, United States
...found out the other day I had an exhaust manifold leak in my diesel engine so I called and scheduled an 8am appointment in Cedar City for Wednesday morning to get new gaskets put in. I had to crawl inside the engine compartment to find the engine serial number....finally found it and took a photo.

Little did we know how that day would turn out.....

Get up late at 5:10am. We were supposed to get up at 5am but the music that was to wake us up was too mellow.

Drive up and over mountain in rain and clouds

Move all Nattie's stuff (and her) into van once we arrived at the repair shop.

Disconnect van, trailer, bike and move trailer

Went to a local coffee shop for breakfast....ordered the John Wayne Special.

While eating, we got a call from the mechanic and he said "You have a warped Exhaust Manifold....$300...plus labor."

He called the warranty people and they approved it all! Yea!

Went to Walmart for some groceries.

Decided to kill more time by getting haircuts at Supercuts. Nice ladies. Good haircuts.

Let Nattie romp around dirt at a local park.

Drove around some nice neighborhoods and looked at fancy, large homes.

Got back to shop and finalized paperwork at 3pm.

Drove coach back out front.

Connect trailer, bike, van

Put Nattie back in coach with her stuff

Get gas at Loves...wait for guy in front

Drive through St. George, Utah and Mesquite, NV when the truck in front of us started to slow down as he put on his flasher lights. Traffic began to come to a complete standstill. Turns out to be a 20-mile backup on I-15.

We started moving after about 45 minutes....the Buzzards starting circling. GPS shows how "fast" we were moving.

LOTS of wind, wind, wind...buffeted us all over the highway as we got back up to speed.

Got into Vegas rush hour traffic. Got off at the Flamingo exit only to find a roadblock and a detour set up. We ended up going around a couple of extra blocks to find the RV park. Arrived at 6:30pm

When we arrived, the man at the gate did not know we were coming a day early. Somehow the message never came from the office.

He got in his golf cart and led us to our spot only to find another motorhome already there! He was great...got on the phone and found us another place where we would not have to unhook our trailer. But....the connections for the water, sewer and electric are 30 feet away. Good thing I bought extra length hoses, electrical and water.

Got the rig all set up and connected but I'm out of Bud so... gotta take down van and almost backed into pickup truck behind us. Bought some Buds (not Bud Light).

Drink, eat popcorn, watch sports.

Sleep at 11:45pm.
