Gorgeous countryside and wonderful RV Park

Kennewick, Washington, United States
This is a short entry as we did not do a lot of anything while here for a week. The countryside is beautiful....LOTS of vineyards, cherry trees and apple orchards. The local cherries were delicious !

Time to sit still and do some house chores and RV maintenance. The RV park was fabulous. Some of the most space between units we've seen.

Down by the Columbia River, there's an historic bronze titled "Call of the River," by acclaimed artist Rodd Ambroson. “Call of the River” was installed adjacent to the lighthouse plaza and honors early farming families and their use of the Columbia River. Very elegant.

And the newest lighthouse in Washington, the Clover Island Lighthouse.

A trip down to Walla Walla was a bit disappointing....maybe we went to the wrong part of town but we did get a good view of the Columbia and Walla Walla rivers meeting.

Right next to our RV park was a large circular alfalfa field with a special sprinkler system to water it. We watched it for about 20 minutes as it slowly moved around the field. Pretty neat. And, we saw a beautiful California Quail through the bushes.

We get "geeked" about the strangest things I guess.

Anyway, a nice, nice, peaceful visit to the Kennewick, Washington area.

Next stop, Spokane botanical gardens and the Grand Coulee Dam.

Nice location. Thanks for the tip on this RV Park. Haven't been to this area yet, but with your photos and trip log I will add it to my trip plans.
