FLOWERS, FLOWERS, FLOWERS for the flower lovers

Spokane, Washington, United States
Spokane has one of the best gardens we've been to in the United States inside of Manito Park.

One of the reasons why it was one of the best is their signage for each of the flowers was outstanding. We could really find out what we were looking at. It is so frustrating to not know which flower it is but this place solved that problem.

 There were five separate gardens:
 The Perennial Garden

There were some gorgeous flowers...all in bloom right now.

The Duncan Garden which is the formal, symmetrically-designed gardens. We found this garden, as a whole, to be the picture rather than the individual flowers themselves. See what you think.

The next day, we came back to see the Rose Garden. Over 165 varieties of roses in bloom. Fantastic. Unfortunately, we did not identify these for you. And so many had no scent at all but some filled your head with their frangrance.

...and some neat looking ball-like plants that they planted along the edges

The Lilac Garden was not in bloom so we did not go there.

We never got to the Japanese Garden

Plus the Conservatory and Greenhouse, which we only peeked in.

Here's more information about the gardens should you be interested.

We ran out of steam each day, spending about 2-3 hours at a time, smelling, photographing, reading and viewing the gardens. Great place!
