Parke County has 31 covered bridges and describes itself as the Covered Bridge Capital of the
World. It is the site for the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival which has
been held in October each year.
Now.....see if you can tell the difference between Bridge #1, 2, 3, or 4.
Here's Number 1:
Now, Number 2:
Number 3:
...and Number 4:
So....what is the difference between the four bridges?? Right ! NOTHING !!!!
So, instead of travelling around the back roads, the dirt roads in search of all 31 bridges, we called it a day after Bridge Number 4. Heck, they are all the same! I looked on the web later and, sure enough, they are all red, same arc construction on the inside. We should've done our research.

However, we did find a great place to eat....Rock Run Café. VERY good cheese/chicken sandwich on panini bread. And their pizzas looked fantastic!
We stayed at a Thousand Trails Campground called Horseshoe Lakes. Nice enough place. We had a great spot tucked in the woods with no one on either side.
A nice quiet spot to stay for a few days.
