Day 8. Hobart

Saturday, March 21, 2015
Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
Today there wasn't a cloud in the sky. By 9.00 we were at Salamanca Market with hundreds of others. I thought it was as good as it had been years ago when we were last there. We both bought a couple of things, and best of all Edie found the shop which made the coin purse she was looking for. Talk about good luck.
At just after 11.30 we wandered over to where the hop on hop off bus stop was supposed to be. Good luck again was on our side. It was running late which meant we could catch this one and not have to wait for the one at 1.30. We got the last 2 seats upstairs. We did not get off and neither did anyone else. Guess nobody wanted to wait 2 hours for the next bus. Guess they need to look into putting more buses on. But then again the route didn't seem to take in enough places even though it took 90 minutes to complete the circuit.
We disembarked at the Tourist Information Office and managed to book a dinner cruise on "Hobart Historic Cruises" for tomorrow night. As it's going to be in the mid 20's tomorrow this should be a nice way to end our stay here.
We went back to the hotel and after a quick freshen up drove the car to the Casino at Wrest Point and spent an hour or so loosing $25 each. So that was our day. Wonder what we will do tomorrow?
