Here we go!!!! Flight from Seattle to Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand

July 20

After a packed week in Seattle, visiting with friends and
family, going to doctor’s appointments and working on mortgages, we boarded the
plane Saturday afternoon to LA where we would spend the night and leave for
Bangkok the next morning

Using our miles and
buying additional ones, we were able to upgrade to first class on the
Seattle to LA leg and business class
from LA to Bangkok. There have been a
few occasions where we’ve been miraculously upgraded on short flights
but…OMG…never on a 14 hour flight. Bill
and I were like kids in a candy store as we also got to use the lounges during
the layovers. It reminded me of the
cruise ships, with food and drink in abundance.   The cubicles on the plane were like
miniature hotel rooms with the seats adjusting into a bed, a large TV with a
million movies and games and more food and drink. Dinner was served at 4:30 Hong Kong time
which was 1:30 a.m. Seattle time. I’m
sure many of you have experienced this but it was a first for us and it was worth
every mile we used getting there!!!

We’re currently in the Business Lounge in Hong Kong,
awaiting our flight to Bangkok.

Hi Susan and Bill, Sorry I was out of town. Family visiting from Singapore. Can't wait what you have to say about BKK and Thailand in its entirety. Have a fantastic time in Asia.

Cheers

Wow! I've never flown first class either, but sounds like the way to go on a
long flight. Fun traveling along with you through the blog.
Thanks, and have fun.
