I couldn't resist doing a separate, short Blog showing the photos I took of our very strange home exchange in Sacele. The photos probably don't translate into just how hysterical the four of us found this home to be but, hopefully, you'll get an idea and find a little humor in the photos and the captions...be sure to read the additional comments to the right of the photos. 

Christina, the owner, had advertised on the home exchange website that each of the rooms was a different theme…Pam and Miles' room appeared to have some sort of "princess" theme but, I would be hard pressed to tell you what ours was . It had a little princess thing going on with the pink bed but then, there was this weird 50’s looking gold furniture and some very weird art on the wall and an awful rug next to the bed. It’s amazing that we didn’t have nightmares!

One last very weird thing...we were playing a game of cards the night before we were scheduled to leave and, at about 10 o'clock, there was a knock on the door. We opened it and a man came in who looked at us strangely as though he thought someone had taken over his home. Turns out it was Christina's husband who had been working in Brasov and, I'm sure, had no idea that we were in the house and had probably been planning on staying the night there instead of driving back to Bucharest. After a lengthy phone call to, I assume, his wife, he finally left, a bit miffed and bewildered.
 
But.....this is part of and what is fun about home exchanges....you never know what you're going to encounter!! .
