Kuching, Sarawak, MalaysiaWe left Seattle on August 22 at 2 a.m. and arrived in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia at 5 p.m. on the 23 of August. Kuching is 15 hours later than Seattle so, if you back that out, it took us 24 hours to arrive. We had two plane changes, one in Taipei and one in Singapore.
Both airports were really amazing, particularly Singapore. The shops in the airport are like a very upscale mall and some of the art installations and, what felt like movie sets, could have been found in a fantasy movie or Disneyland.
But...the best thing about the Singapore airport are the chairs at the boarding gate. Great design and oh so comfortable.

Why are American airports so miserable? We have the resources to do better. Last trip through LAX, no reliable wifi. Singapore has napping spaces. Enjoy.
