No Beatles in this Liverpool

Port Mouton, Nova Scotia, Canada
Well we had a late night last night I thought we went to bed after 10.00pm but Richard said it was 11.00pm no wonder I was very tired. This little cottage is so hot I have to go outside to cool down it's like having night sweats all the time. We are on the main highway so getting to sleep was okay but just before 6.00am the semi's and traffic woke me plus it was cold so I put the heating on and went back to sleep (good old ear plugs) till after 7.00am. Put the filtered coffee machine on with Richard watching in case I had a mistake back in bed with our coffee's.

Too hot now had to turn all the heating off and open the sliding door to cool the cottage down and what a beautiful day it is today as I look across the bay. Going to have good weather for the next few days and then rain so I hope it is alright when we are in Lunenburg for three days. Watched the news and weather caught up with the fire in NSW plus Phyllis told us one life had been lost hopefully all this is over by the time we come home on the 04/11/13.

All set for our day in Liverpool the chap we met at Carters Beach said it is a lovely village and probably won't take us long to explore plus there is a Sobeys and Superstore there to do our shopping. Richard made sure I did all my exercises for my foot before we left.

Again in a round of bout way Jill got us to Liverpool instead of keeping on the main road we went down back streets till we reached the main street and guess what in the middle of the town the road was being resurfaced. Detoured to a car park and walked up and down the main street the wind is going right through us. Found the Tourist Information Centre and it was closed will be open tomorrow which is no good to us as we will be Lunenburg. All attractions seem to closed in October so not much to see in Liverpool which was settled by the New England Planters in 1759 a shipbuilding town on the Mersey River. We keep on singing “Ferry cross the Mersey” to keep warm.

Richard had a go at fishing of the bridge with a chap we met they jig the the line in the fast current where Richard is used to beach fishing. He had fun but didn't catch a fish like the chap next to us. Looked at the big trawling boats before finding a Tim Horton's next to Sobeys for morning tea and to get warm. Put the for sale signs on the front and back windows thought we had a buyer but he was just a looker I don't think he wanted to go to Halifax to buy the Pontiac. At last I found my little Halloween dolls to add to my overseas doll collection and seeing everything was closed we drove back to the cottage for lunch and rest for the afternoon.

Such a glorious panoramic view from our back balcony the distant shoreline mirrored in the water so peaceful and relaxing. I caught up with all my bits and pieces on the laptop Richard is having a good rest I think we both needed a rest after constantly being on the go. We are now on the downhill slide of travelling across Canada the scenery ahead will be very picturesque plus Halifax is only about 157kms away.

For dinner tonight we had a beautiful piece of BBQ Haddock, rice and veggies with pineapple then relaxed in front of TV before an early night.
