At the moment we are in the open
seas of the Caribbean the swell is 2.5 to 3 metres high, so it will be a rough
day today sailing. Second day at sea so no need to get up early again, so the
Horizon Buffet is busy and noisy again, no one swimming in the Lido Pool due to
the swell (you would get concussion). Weather has been the same for the past
few days partly cloudy and temperatures of 300C and the wind hasn’t
really dropped. No swimming today even in the quiet tranquil Lotus Pool.
Throughout the day Coral Princess
will continue to maintain a south easterly course across the Caribbean Sea
towards the island of Aruba.
Looked at the Princess Patter
daily guide and most of the items and seminars are the same as Royal Princess,
so today is a rest day watching the making of the Panama Canal.
It is a pity there aren’t more
tables and chairs in the protected area on the sides of the Lido pool to have
lunch or breakfast in peace away from all the loud constant talking in the
Horizon Court buffet areas. The swell is still 2.5 to 3 metres and the cruise
ship is rolling side to side, you know where you see your clothes hanging in
the walk-in-robe swinging back and forth.
Dressed for dinner in the
Bordeaux (Anytime) Dining Room on Deck 5 near the Atrium, long queue short wait
for table for two, but it was next to larger shared tables with loud Americans.
Dinner took time because of my dietary requirements, but tomorrow will be
easier seeing I pre-ordered tonight. Constantine (from Romania) will be taking
my order every night so there shouldn’t be a problem. No bowl of sliced veges
and larger serve of steamed veges like on the Royal, but dinner was very nice.
On Deck 6 Explorers Lounge we
listened to Solutions playing 70’s music, then caught the tail-end of Violinist
David Klinkenberg with the Coral Princess Orchestra in the Universe Lounge who
was really good, On Deck 7 we could hear Piano entertainer AJ Clarke in the
Crooners Lounge but he was too loud as we came closer to find a seat. Ventured
over to the Princess Theatre to watch a bit of the magic act by Alexander
Great, seen better so won’t be seeing him again.
Time is passing and we have Aruba tomorrow plus
it is late and the ship has a good roll on it at the moment. The magician was
having problems with the movement of the ship.
