Sailing up the coast of Costa Rica

Costa Rica, Costa Rica
Once Coral Princess cleared the Gulf of Panama and began setting north westerly courses through the Pacific Ocean towards Puntarenas Costa Rica, continuing on various north westerly courses throughout the day.
Good night’s rest enjoyed a cup of coffee in our suite, only have American news on TV no Australian news at all and we are tired of hearing about the American Mum who dangled her small child over the railing of the cheetah enclosure before dropping the child. Child wasn’t hurt.
The weather is always partly cloudy with a temperature of round 260C, the sea was beautiful and calm, and seeing it is a day of leisure at sea everyone will be poolside on Deck 14 Lido so if we go swimming today it will be in the tranquil Lotus Pool. It is a pity the area is enclosed, as the smell of chlorine makes it a little difficult with breathing near the pool. It was lovely swimming there after walking around the Old City of Cartagena on Thursday and watching the rain fall on the glass enclosed roof.
Horizon Court wasn’t as busy at 9.30am afterwards we walked around the pool areas before venturing back to our cabin when we bumped into Tony and Deidre. Exchanged cabin numbers they are on Deck 12 Dolphin 631 (inner cabin) and chatted about the coming port of Puntarenas, Costa Rica and ideas of what to see seeing they have been there before. We are a bit juveous as the town of Puntarenas is some 70 miles from the cruise terminal, taxis are expensive and a four hour travel time.
Time flies having coffee on our balcony looking out to sea with the binoculars at the birds, land on the horizon, cargo ships and a cruise ship we noticed on port side plus got deeply engrossed in conversation with our next door neighbours Red and Sharon.
Lunch was late, once again either salad or steamed mixed veges and only fish grilled for me plus food/beverage waiters hard to find. Coral Princess is not a patch on Royal Princess.
Spent some time at the Lido Pool (open air) watched a bit of the outdoor movie before dinner and once again it is Formal Night tonight so will need to stay clear of three decks around the Atrium where everyone will be having their formal portrait photos taken.
