Memory Lane in Hove

Hove, England, United Kingdom
Another overcast day, raining in Hove and it looks like it is here to stay for the day. Fred has breakfast laid out every morning he is a gem, we feel as though we are staying in a lovely B&B and not allowed to do a thing just sit back and relax enjoying our holiday.

Today Margaret and Fred are taking us to where Richard lived in Hove, 172 New Church Road on the corner of Roman Road. A beautiful old two storey home stairs at the back and still the same as it was when Richard lived there over fifty years ago. Brought back a lot of memories for Richard, showed me where his bedroom was on the second floor.

Drove down the streets where they shopped and hung out as youngsters, shops have changed but not the buildings. I am glad Margaret knows where she is going as we go round the streets of Hove. Stopped at Aldi and Tesco to replenish our supplies for when we leave tomorrow for Chichester and Portsmouth.

Margaret is a bit worn out with driving so we caught the bus into Brighton to update our PAYG WiFi to 16GB at EE. Not being computer minded we didn't know downloading photos and word document into TravelPod on the internet took up so must data, plus Richard sending photo attachments on his emails. Need to shrink the photos to transfer to TravelPod in future.

The day has been quite exhausting being driven out the streets of Hove, busing to Brighton afternoon tea was very inviting. Caught up with emails etc on the internet before having the English favourite Fish and Chips for dinner then preparing for our leave tomorrow.

Hopefully the weather improves.
