Gower Peninsula, Wales, United Kingdom
We both woke with a fright by a woman shouting abusive language and banging on a caravan or motorhome door at the back of us, this went on for some time till we put our reliable earplugs in and went back to sleep.

Looking through the skyline and out the window it looks like a lovely day with the sun shining and blue skies. Richard looked at Cardiff on Trip Advisor there are attractions to see but with the big game of football on this week might not be a good idea to busy with fans plus the only caravan site in Cardiff is booked out from Friday. Even though it is Wednesday we will give it a miss, Cardiff is the capital of Wales but to us it is just another big city full of traffic and people.

Smooth sailing with the traffic on the A4 Bristol is not that far away, turned onto the A4174 to bypass the city centre. So many roundabouts to navigate through then there was a holdup with major maintenance roadworks at the Wick Wick roundabout before we entered the M32 the Satnav took us on a longer bypass route again.

Richard is getting very good at navigating the roundabouts took the M32 then back on the A4 missed the slipway to the long Second Severn Crossing toll Bridge over the River Severn. No problems as A48 takes us to Seven Bridge where we had to keep our wits about ourselves watching all the exit signs to the bridge to pay a whopping £13.70 toll to cross over the bridge to Wales.

Driving on the three lane M4 views of lush green countryside like England lots of dairy farming milking cows grazing in the fields till we near Newport where the countryside changes. Back to the rolling hills as we wind down the valley to bypass the main capital of Wales Cardiff then over the River Rhymney through a long tunnel cutting through the hillside saw the exit to St Fagan a museum on Welsh life, which would have been lovely to visit and if is FREE. Time is marching on and we have a long way ahead of us to Nicholaston Farm Caravan & Camping site in Penmaen Gower overlooking the Oxwich Bay.

Passed a few signs "Welcome Break" on the M4 and as we were both tired from the foul-mouth lady who woke us earlier last night we pulled over in the next available one. Topped up with diesel (£51.41 £1.249L) charge like a wounded bull including the food, so I made lunch and coffee.

Passed by Port Talbot a big port industrial city on the left by the Swansea Bay, then via Exit 42 onto A483 over the River Dulasis to Swansea for a few supplies at Tesco. A very large Amazon.UK warehouse and Bay Studios situated on the right at the entrance to Swansea a very big modern city.

A4118 passes through the hillside residential area till Gower then back to the countryside, nearly hit the sheep grazing on the side of the road by the Swansea Airport and now we feel as though we are back in Cornwall with the hedged roads the tree canopy winding roads up and down valleys.

Richard made the mistake when we passed the Gower Inn at the bottom of the valley that all we need now is a bus to come down the winding narrow lane in front of us. Guess what happened a bus came around the corner and we couldn't get through due to a car parked in the slipway, so you guessed it he had to reverse back including all the cars behind us for the bus and other cars to pass. The drivers behind were great when I told them about the bus, they are used to this.

Well I spoke too soon about the blue skies the weather has changed and it has been raining for some time, which is a pain when you what to look at new interesting sights. Found the Nicholaston Farm down a narrow lane a well-planned farm and caravan, camping site high on the hill overlooking Oxwich Bay and a stretch of sandy beach. The only good thing is there is FREE WIFI here, so sitting in the motorhome while there is raging wind and rain outside we have free entertainment while enjoying a cuppa.

This constant raining turns us off England and we feel like packing up and going home, as we miss a lot interesting sights because of the rain. It is quite miserable walking in the rain getting drown while looking at towns or scenery. Even going to have a shower you get wet, oh what a whinging Aussie I have turned into. No matter where we travel to next in either Ireland, Scotland or England it is raining for the next week or so.
