Another beautiful sunny day in Coniston, today is a rest day we are not going exploring Richard is not well plus I need to have our TravelPod blog up to date today as I mentioned some time ago the site will be closing down after operating for twenty years. Hopefully Ryan a long time TravelPod blogger will have his site TravelArk up and running in time for a smooth transfer with a similar setup as TravelPod. I will email everyone the site details.
Meet a lovely Scottish couple on holidays Wilson and Keryan and of course the map comes out for places to see plus being told the mozzies are bad in Scotland. Seeing they knew we were getting ready for Ireland tomorrow they were so kind enough to let me borrow their little clothesline to dry our washing. The laundry is so expensive at the sites £4.00 for 30 minute wash and £1.00 for every 15 minutes in the dryer. With the sun and slight wind the clothes towels and sheets were dry in no time.
Also meet a Chinese couple travelling all over Europe, UK and Ireland starting from China in their motorhome. Their English was very limited so I don't know if they have been travelling for 5 months or 5 years. On the side of their motorhome is a map of the world showing the countries they have travelled.
It was nice and peaceful actually not racing around looking at villages or the stress of parking for Richard. A good day to rest and look at the Ipad. Had a great old chat with Margaret and Fred, Margaret normally rings every weekend but this time she left it a bit long as she is having new windows put in at her Bromley home. Forgot to mention to her to get in touch with EE to add-on coverage for the Republic of Ireland as it is not part of the UK and we will have not internet will there only Northern Ireland. Hopefully Margaret gets my messages in time before we land at Larne Northern Ireland on Wednesday 21st.
Our new little gas BBQ worked a treat so hopefully there will be plenty of sunny days for me to cook outside and have not meat or fish smells in the motorhome. A joy not to have the smoke alarm going off.
