Well, we've made it to Château Gontier which is considerably further than when we set off for Italy on the 1st August.
Two French lessons for me today and after this afternoon's the rest of my things had to be put into the van. Why do I feel the need to take so much stuff, I wonder, when only going for a week or so. All kinds of medicines and even then I've come away leaving behind my Lavender and Tea Tree oils. To be sure I'll need them if I haven't got them with me!
We set off and got past the place just outside of Andouillé where the engine last time decided we needed to be relieved of our savings and came to our usual first stop at Château Gontier without a normal late lunch stop at McDonald's or KFC in Laval.
We were surprised at the amount of camping cars here when we arrived. There must be at least 20.
Walking up to Carrefour to buy our dinner, we saw that the Indian restaurant was closed down and the property for sale.
After dinner, very ably cooked by Mike, we both attempted to read our books but both fell asleep. Mike has woken up with a bad stomach - could it have been the Mozzarella cheese that I added to our lunchtime pizzas - it had seen better days! Or is it something in the bought Turkish style Tabbouleh that we had with our evening meal. Whatever's caused it, he's suffering. Hopefully, he'll be better by morning.
How far will we get this time?
