El Ejido, Andalucía, Spain and Canary Islands
Oh I do like this site, it's big and spacious and the guy, Pedro, who owns it is very friendly. We cycled up to the shops today to make sure that we had enough food to get us over tomorrow. Not sure if the baker calls on Sundays.

We cycled along the roads, hardly any traffic at all. Found Mercadona and did our shop. When we came out I suggested we turned right instead of left which would have been back the way we came. This took us towards the beach, we recognised where we were from last year - on the wrong side of the marina. Now the marina has like three arms and one way traffic - not our way - which meant cycling against the flow of traffic all the way round. Fortunately, there was no traffic. All because I didn't want to pass the guy begging outside the shop!

We changed our route home though and came back along the cycle path alongside the beach.

We've spent this afternoon playing boules with the Germans Mike was talking to yesterday. Once again we've learned about different rules to the ones we use at the Club. When Mike queried, the answer came back "international rules". Goodness, he even had his tape measure the wrong way round. Even so, we had a good afternoon and they (six of them) were good company.

It's been a beautiful day although the sky over the mountains behind us got a bit dark at one point, it didn't rain as I thought it might.
