Another nice, sunny day today for the Pétanque comp. another enjoyable day. Despite our practice with the club at La Chapelle au Grain Mike and I were both on losing teams so no prizes there then! It was good fun and the Dutch who took part weren't quite so competitive this year.

We'd invited Linda & Steve to eat with us tonight so this morning I made some Chilli Con Carne in the pressure cooker. Despite using three dried Bird's Tongue Chillies - okay I did wimp out and remove the seed - and a fair sized chunk of Ginger, I then had to add three more big Jalapeño Chillies from our jar before I could get a reasonable amount of heat into it but it turned out good in the end. Before that we had Apéro time with them and Ralf and Angela, after the Chilli, the four of us played Triominoes until I don't know what time.
