I didn't write anything yesterday so today's ramblings will cover both days . Most of yesterday was taken up with boring mile crunching motorway driving.

So we left yesterdays Aire after getting water & stuff. While we were emptying our grey waste an old Spanish man came up to me and proceeded to tell me that there was water under the drain lid on the grass. Good we thought, it would save us going up the other end of the car park. Yuk! When we lifted the lid, if there was a tap down there you wouldn't have wanted to dig down to find it - it looked like someone had thought it was a sewer and emptied their cassette down it some time ago!

Autovia all the way to here with a lunch stop and sharing the driving.

Here, is an area of vast quarries that have been turned into an animal sanctuary/safari park. The parking is a mix of motorhomes and other vehicles and is beside a lake which seems to be a popular picnic place.

It costs 30€ per person to drive around the park and a French lady told us that there are plenty of places where you can stop and picnic or eat in your van . There is also a cable car which runs up and around the park. I'm not sure if that comes within the 30€ or not. We didn't go into the park where I believe there are tigers, bears and sea lions as well as the African elelphants, antelope, goats and water buffalo. The elephants, water buffalo, goats and antelope we could walk to see for free as they are all in the same area so that's what we did.

When we arrived yesterday afternoon there was plenty of parking space but by the evening there must have been more than 50 vans with late coming Spanish cozying up to the neighbouring van - no vans a rockin' or fartin' allowed! These were people who were the last out of the park.

I thought today might have been different but no - we have a Spanish neighbour but he has given us a couple of metres space, not enough for anyone else to get in between. At the moment (20:26) there aren't quite as many vans. A very popular place at Easter.
