Larry and I left Galena about 11:30 and headed to Worthington to drop off veggies from our garden to Larry's sister Karen. When we drove in there was Larry's brother Phil and his wife Sonia. They were riding their bikes to the Food Truck Fest at Columbus Commons and picking up football tickets for this season. We visited for a few minutes and then took off to the airport. They are still doing renovations at the airport. We went to Columbus Brewing Company to kill some of our wait time. Larry had a CBC Pale Ale.

Our United flight to Chicago was a bit bumpy but on time. When we arrived at Terminal F we walked to Terminal B and found a place for lunch, Stephanie's Tuscan Cafe. We both had salads, Larry had Caesar and I had antipasto. They came with bread, olive oil and parmesan cheese. Larry had a Goose Island Honkers Ale and I had a glass of Muscato wine. Then we went to Erin's gate to wait for her to arrive. Her flight was supposed to get in early but was delayed because of thunderstorms around Chicago. She arrived a half an hour late and we had just enough time to get to our gate before they started boarding. We got on board for an on-time departure. We were seated for a short time when Erin got a text on her phone saying we would be delayed because of a mechanical problem. When the captain came on he said a switch needed replaced and we would be on our way shortly. Shortly turned into an hour and twenty minutes. We left at 7:20.

Once in the air things went smoothly. We had a seat behind the wing in Row 30. Larry and I watched The Water Diviner with Russell Crowe which we both liked. Soon they came around with drinks and a good snack, crackers with white cheddar cheese. For supper we had chicken with mushroom sauce, polenta, veggies, and a roll. We even got dessert, vanilla bean gelato. It was all really good for airline food. After supper they turned off the lights and we all tried to sleep. Larry and I got some sleep but Erin didn't sleep much. Erin got me a new neck pillow made of memory foam and that helped a lot.
