Day 246 There was a lot more of the same in the last few days. We have been hanging out at the pool, relaxing as much as we can before work starts. The other night we did break the routine however. We went out on the town for a birthday. Marco, Steph's friend Hayley's boyfriend turned 23 on Thursday. We started the night by having a couple drinks at the hostel to get ourselves primed. Marco and Hayley headed out before us. Once we were nice and ready we headed to downtown to catch up with them. We first stopped in at The Taps for a drink on the patio while waiting to meet them. From there we headed down to HP Lounge, which was next door but in the basement, and got the bouncer to waive the $10 cover charge. This place was no ones favourite so we didn't spend a lot of time there and headed over to Monsoon's. We stayed here drinking and dancing for quite some time. Then it was time to get some munchies. We had chips, cheese and gravy (a poutine at home) at one of the few restaurants still open at this hour.
The day after was a lazy one as all of us had hang overs of various proportions. we did manage to get together and have a nice BBQ before returning to the pool where we stayed till it was closed at 9 pm.
Another day another swim. Again we threw in a BBQ to break up the ours of sitting in the water and getting wrinkled. Later that night we headed out to Shenanigans Irish Pub for the Chelsea vs Tottenham EPL match. This was Ryan's pick as he is a die hard Chelsea fan. After a few hours of drinks and nail biting suspense for Ryan, we left on a high note as Chelsea won the game. We said our good byes as the next morning they were leaving for Cairns.
