Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia
Day 256 The last week has been pretty uneventful. Darwin is quick becoming our least favourite of the trip so far, if it wasn't for the work we would have moved on after a few days for sure. The prices are really high due to its location and it really has limited options compared to the east coast. Can't swim in the ocean due to crocodiles and jellyfish. There are two national parks in the area one which we have seen on the way up. Our days mostly include going to the library for internet and then heading down to the lagoon for a swim. We also shelled out the five bucks a piece for a swim in the wave pool. We were hoping the water would be a little colder but that was not the case. Nevertheless it was fun bouncing around the waves. They run a 20 minute cycle every half an hour and claim to have 8 different wave patterns. We could definitely tell the difference between some of the waves but not all of them. We also went a little crazy and booked ourselves a trip to Bali for December. We are going to be flying to Denpasar Bali out of Darwin on the 11th of December. More to come on that. The other night we went and spent the most time in a bar without getting drunk as we went down to Shenanigans to watch the WSOP final table marathon. Man I wish I was playing in it. They played for 11 hours 3 way and then heads up was done within the next hour.
Tomorrow we are leaving Darwin heading 300 kms south to Kathrine to start work on Monday. The mangoes are ready to be packed!
