Our last stop on the tour was to a restored Japanese Colonial Era restored home. I was excited about that but unfortunately we went to the wrong place on the map. Instead we ended up at a newly constructed Japanese style villa complex.

It still hadnt opened and was undergoing final stages of construction. The landscaping had not been filled in yet and the buildings were mostly empty. 


 
However it will be a charming place to visit once completed. The houses are of traditional dark blue wood beams with matching window frames and shutters. 

The group was going to continue to the real Japanese villa but me and another blogger from Busan needed to get to the bus terminal to catch our buses home. The others would be continuing on to Seoul and had our private bus to take them home so had time to visit the other home. 



After saying our goodbyes we each boarded our respective buses. I was on the 5.15 to Daegu but it took an hour and a half just to Jeonju making lots of local stops. After Jeonju he took the highway the rest of the way and I reached Daegu by 9.30. 

I then took a cab all the way home exhausted from the weekend adventure and having stomach problems from so much continuous Korean food.

It was a very well organized and enjoyable trip, better than I had expected since I'd been to the Jeonju Hanok Village before and had no idea what to expect on Seonyudo Island or Gunsan (which I thought was just an industrial port city). 

The film crew asked me for my final thoughts and I reflected on how I wasnt really familiar with Jeolla province but was pleasantly surprised the discoveries.
