Daegu Station Antiques and 2nd Hand Goods

Daegu, South Korea
Looking to buy some unique one of a kind items to give your home a distinct character? Daegu has a small second hand goods community located in the underpass road below Daegu Station where you can find an assortment of unusual items.

Reminiscent of a 'garage sale' (US) or 'sunday market' (UK) the collection of stores running on both sides of the underpass have a variety of goods to satisfy any curious taste.

They say 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' and 'one mans junk is another mans treasure'. While most of this could easily be written off as garbage you will find a vast selection of items from each of the last few decades. Items range from albums and cassette tapes of mostly Korean artists, speakers and tape decks, books, artwork, small tables, electronics, and even used bikes.

The stores I find more interesting are the ones with more traditional culture items and old Buddha statues. These antique items could make great presents or souvenirs of your time in Korea.

Even if you dont buy anything it can make for an interesting (if somewhat noisy) stroll thru when you are near Daegu Station waiting for friends or your train.
