Some of this new bloggers are from Germany, Belgium, and Singapore, as well as from the USA and Canada. One has been in Korea for 7 years and writes about cooking. I am only one of two other people that have continued from Year 1 and the additional responsibility of being an official blogger for The City of Daegu
The event was held at the Institute of Traditional Korean Food close to the Insadong tourist area. We were invited to the rooftop tenth floor, which also included a Tteok Museum and Dept of Food and Culinary on lower floors
There was an outer roof terrace with some amazing city views. They also had jars for fermenting various items.
Shortly after the Arirang TV crew and other invited media arrived
Our host who holds a PhD in Korean Culinary explained some of the food processes
Indoors the tables were laid out in traditional Korean colours
After a welcome toast we had our meal with many courses
First were two types of soups followed by a wrap
The first main course was a traditional Korean pasta. The second main course was bibimbap mixed rice but I was too full to eat much of it by now
Finally we had a fruit tea and some watermelon for dessert while the sun set on the horizon
The Arirang TV crew continued to film us and interviewed some of the new bloggers
Finally the chefs all took a bow and took a group photo
We were presented with many gifts including a traditional Korean cookbook authored by our host.
