Having fueled both my stomach and the bike I now had time to explore the rest of the island. I continued around from the Pantai Cenang beach around the airport heading to Pantai Kok where the cable cars were to the sky bridge. 





 
 

Passing the airport I was up against the runway as planes were coming in to land and take off

 















 
I passed an interesting pink bridge and lots of local Mosques

 
 


























 




 
 
I found a nice spot where I pulled in to get a scenic pic. Then something strange started to happen. 

 














 
A young guy that had seen me pull over was waiting ahead and smiling as he waved me towards him. I just continued on. Then he rode past me, and came back the other way smiling again. Ok, that was a bit odd. This went on a third time until he gave up that I wasnt respoding. I dont know if it was some gay pickup, trying to sell me drugs, or what? 

 
 




























 

 

 
I found a secluded beach only used by locals before making it to Pantai Kok to where the cable cars to the sky bridge was. It was already 5pm and I didnt have time to go up. I wanted to get back to the hotel before it was dark

 

The cars are disappearing in clouds at the top and I dont like heights so I wouldnt enjoy going up. Plus there is a famous sky bridge linking two mountains which I certainly wouldnt be able to walk across. 

The bridge is famous because from there you can see three countries, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand

 














 
I cut across to the northern side of the island to the black sand beach. This was not as scenic as Pantai Cenang and quite deserted. By this time I had finally figured out that I should be using the mirror as well on the bike so could now see traffic going both ways
