Walking back to the city centre I went to the Maimoon Palace just behind the Masjid Reya close to my hotel. Entrance was 5000IDR (.50 cents). 

Immediately I was amazed by the Moorish interior continuing the theme from the Masjid Reya. 





 


















 
I saw people dressed in noble costumes and after realizing they were not some sort of officials they were actually locals that had paid to wear costumes and have their photos taken.


 

















 
I decided to do the same as it was only 15,000IDR ($1.50) so not some ghastly cost. While the guy before me had worn gold and black the lady chose orange and gold for me which is not my colour.



















 
I never put personal pics on this blog but I included a distant one so you can see me in the orange robes which doesnt suit me.
