Sibelius Park, Temppeliaukio Church, Synagogue

Leaving the National Museum I was going to walk out to the Sibelius Park and Temple in the Rock Church. There was a central tree lined pedestrian boulevard heading to the Sibelius Park

The park was along the water and had a central metal pipe sculpture and one of his face.

Heading back I found the Temple in the Rock Church. You can walk on top of its rock surface. At first I couldn't find the way in and thought it was locked. When I was heading to the street to leave I found the main entrance.

It was unique interior architecture, cut into the rock, with a modernistic interior. Light floods in from the dome with its central copper circular peak. I ran into another Korean group visiting.

Outside was a cheaper souvenir store away from the main tourist draws on Market Square. On the way back I was finally able to locate the Synagogue which was near my hotel. It was locked with a police truck parked outside for protection.
