Finishing up in the Royal Naval Dockyard after the National Museum of Bermuda we had till 5.15 for the ferry back to Hamilton. We looked around for food and souvenirs in the buildings around.
These were the old brick built warehouses and are now very touristy as a cruise ship port, compared to St George at the other end of the island which retained its sleepy character.
I got a fish sandwich for $12 USD though not being very filling gave me enough energy to keep going.
We'd already bought our ferry tickets in St George earlier and budgeted it was cheaper with a couple of one way trips than buying the day pass for $19 USD due to the bus strike today.
Similar to leaving St George, he went slowly then hit the gas in open water making you grab on to everything to stop it blowing overboard.
There were grand homes along the waterside and as we neared Hamilton more private boats, yachts, and jet skis.
The schedule said the ferry to our part of the island was at 6.20pm so we wanted to take a quick scout of Hamilton before leaving.
Turns out they were on holiday schedule and the last ferry left at 6pm. We had to take a cab back for $19 USD. We stopped at the gas station by our guesthouse to get more food and drink to cool down after a long day exploring.
