Moscow's Original 1930 Retro Red Line

Moscow, Russian Federation
Returning home from my day exploring Moscow Red Square and the Kremlin I was to take the metro back to my hotel. I was going to take a different route back to see more of the metro and the original line first built in the 1930s.
At first I couldnt find where the metro station actually was at the end of Arbat St so had to ask for directions. Despite tourist signs the metro wasnt signposted. Return fare home was again 55 Rub ($1).
From Smolenskaya I had to transfer at the next stop to get onto the retro 1930 red line. At Arbatskaya Metro it had impressive palatial grand designs.
It was up and down escalators to get across to the red line station Biblioteka Imeni Lenina which was much darker and simpler in design.
The stations on the red line were also much simpler and had the art deco feel of the 1930s.
Finally at Komsomolskaya I had to transfer from the Red Line back to the Circle line to get home.
Transfer stations are actually two separate stations on different lines with escalators and walkways to connect the two.
Back at the circle line station on Komsomolskaya was the grand yellow palace from this morning.
It was one stop over to Kurskaya.
