The Halton County Radium Museum is located west of Toronto on Highway 401 and Guelph Line. It is the largest collection of historical streetcars and subway trains going back a century.
You have to check the website for opening days. The museum is seasonal and is not open everyday.
In the storage barn they devised a walking path to take you thru each era of subway trains. The original Toronto Subways were red and labelled the red rocket.
The other streetcars go back a century, had wood seating, and probably not comfortable in winters.
The museum also has 2km of original track with they use to run passenger rides on vintage streetcars. Entrance includes the ride and you can go on it as many times as you like.
Lots of Grandparents brought their Grandkids as it was probably nostalgic for them.
