Isle of Man - Manx Electric Railway

Ramsey Station Terminus, Ramsey
The Isle of Man has three heritage rail lines built in Victorian lines. The first electric line runs north from Douglas to Ramsay. The second branch line runs north from Laxey up the Snaefell mountain to the peak. The third is a steam railway that runs south from Douglas.
We had purchased a day pass and would be taking the electric train from Ramsay to Laxey, then switching to the Snaefell Mountain Railway, before continuing back on the main line railway onwards to Douglas.
It is important to check the train schedules. They seemed to be running every two hours.
The train had two carriages, one indoor, one outdoor. Despite being more windy we opted for outdoor for better views. Again we had picture perfect weather today for the picturesque views of the landscape.
There were many farms with cattle. I'm sure the animal population seems higher than human. They seemed so relaxed just grazing and going about their business.
We even pass a mountain ledge overlooking the sea which is dangerous if you lean out and drop your camera
The trains are very unique to the Isle of Man and would be one of the highlights of the trip
