Ottawa O-Train

Arriving at Ottawa by Via train from Toronto I now needed to take the Ottawa O-Train to get downtown to my hotel.

The O-Train station is adjacent to the Via Rail station so is an easy walk but may be a challenge in strong winter weather and snow.

Walk to Station

The fare system is the same as Toronto so the Presto card is valid in both cities. The line will travel downtown to Rideau Mall by Parliament Hill and the bridge to Quebec.

The line is newly built and shows how Politicians can build nice things in their city when they want something done. It connects via the University of Ottawa before reaching the city centre.
