Gayrettepe Metro Istanbul, İstanbul, Turkey
After my two day layover in Istanbul I was leaving and heading back to the airport. I hadnt even visited the Grand Bazaar which I noticed was by the Cemberlitis tram stop. I couldnt walk around and get distracted in the Grand Bazaar having been to so many bazaars in Iran so started to make my way slowly to the metro station. First I had to follow the tram line for about three stops to Veznicilar
At Veznicilar I had to take the metro for the first leg to the transfer station. This used one credit on my card
This is a new line that was not here on my last visit in 2013 and is built to handle volume with wide bodied trains
After crossing the Golden Horn I had to change at the transfer station of Gayrettepe
Their is poor signage at the transfer station where you have to go thru many walkways to change lines
The new airport line is maybe a year old and uses two credits on my transport card
