Soligalich - A Northern Russia Time Capsule

Soligalich, Kostroma Oblast, Russian Federation
Heading further north from Galich we were heading to the frontier town of Soligalich. Tony explained what the two Galich's meant but I dont recall. The further north we went the road was less maintained.
Soligalich is the last town with road access after which is dirt roads and access by 4WD, ATVs, or Ice Roads.
The town centre was the same as Galich or Kostroma with the trading arches but this time they were made of wood. Sadly they were collapsing and had been closed off. Tony said they were open the last time he came.
We found another surviving trading arcade. Most of the shops seemed to be locked. Maybe they are seasonal during hunting and fishing season. The one shop that was open was a time capsule from decades back.
Around town many people were using cycling as a means of transportation. We went into other stores looking for a restroom and they were also time capsules.
Near the centre was a beautiful looking church. This was infact abandoned and closed. Further away was a more decaying one that looked quite stunning all stripped down.
On closer inspection the spine of the tower is in fact cracked and tower is due to collapse in a few years if nothing is done to protect it.
We were looking for a bathroom and somewhere to eat and there wasnt anything. Eventually we found the local 'nite club' which was the only place serving food.
It was pizza and fries, nothing 'Russian' but we were limited in choice.

The town is a living time capsule with Soviet era cars, vintage stores, collapsing homes and churches.
