Next stop on our southbound Golden Ring route was to Peresalvl Zalessky. No matter how much I tried I couldnt get the name right and its easy to mix up with Yaroslavl where we had stayed overnight. As well the prior stop Rostov Veliky was all getting a bit confusing keeping all the names correct for a novice hearing them for the first time.
It was easy to get around as its just one central park with the buildings at each end. First is the small cube church similar to the one on Vladimir on day 1. Entrance is not allowed but the monument outside gives a date from the 13th century.
The two red churches I thought were closed as well as they were in poor shape. One is now used as a retail art gallery, the other is still in service.
