Liverpool's Iconic Waterfront, Cultural Diversity

Liverpool, England, United Kingdom
Liverpool is a legendary city in England made famous by The Beatles and the vibrant music scene. However the Port and gateway to Colonies and the New World also provide a rich heritage that is often overlooked for the music scene.
Arriving at Liverpool Lime St from the Merseyrail, first I wanted to dump my luggage. Many stations have done away with luggage lockers due to fear of terrorism. Liverpool Lime St was the first station we found to store luggage. We only had a half day stop before proceeding to Blackpool for the night
While the website said they had rates for increments of hours, when we arrived they had changed to a flat 12.50 pounds for 24 hours and charged per item. I had to put the smaller bag inside the larger.
Now we were free to walk on foot. I also wanted to find a bike rental place. They were supposed to be outside the station but appears they were only for e-scooters.
First we went to the Cavern Club district. It has become a tourist zone but there was steady drizzle coming down. We went into The Beatles Museum to keep warm and we had planned on visiting anyway. Entrance was 17 pounds.
The Museum told their story thru each year, starting with their original drummer George Best, and his mother Mona Best who was their original promoter.
I'd forgotten about the movies The Beatles made. These are never shown on tv anymore I think for rights reasons and to generate revenues from sales.
Heading back out we made our way to the iconic waterfront where the liners to America would leave. I remember the 70s tv show The Liver Birds where they would take the ferry and show the landmarks in the opening sequence.
In the wharf area was another Beatles Museum. We didnt find the Baltic Market as by now the rain was heavy and we were trying to find somewhere indoors.
We made our way to the Cathedral to avoid the rains.
The Cathedral was much larger than the prior ones I had been visiting. You can climb the stairs to the top but I did not have the energy with daily walking.
Southeast of the Cathedral is a multi faith street not known to tourists that I had researched on google maps. First their was a Greek Orthodox Church.
The street behind was the Synagogue. A few more streets was the Mosque but that would be too much walking the wrong way. The rain was starting to clear.
Last stop was the bombed church. Its actual name is St Luke's Church which is why we could not find it on the map. They were hosting a beer festival today so we could not go inside the grounds.
I needed hot warm food due to the rains so we stopped in a Chinese Restaurant. I had a fish ball soup for 10 pounds while we waited for our 15.39 train to Blackpool.
