We arrived in CDG on a cold damp Nov morning after a long flight from Toronto. Our connection time in Toronto was 4 hours which made the trip even longer. Faye was getting over a dental problem and we had worked some long stretches and a vacation was due. We arranged this trip at the last moment as our earlier plans for Mexico fell through with the demise of Canada 3000. Our hotel was booked online and was easy to find in Montpernasse however upon arrival, they told us our rooms were across the street. The room was OK but the hotel was under going renovations and had piles of dirty carpet and junk in the hallway. We should have complained but we were too exhausted and has a short rest. Dinner had to be special to pick up the tempo and we indulged in an evening at the Eiffel Tower.
