Cartagena, Colombia
We sail into this beautiful harbour at dawn. The city with its high rise towers curvers around the circular harbour. Much shipping, sail boats, tour boats and a second cruise ship make this a busy place. Our tour will take us through colonial Cartagena. Our guide, Ben, was schooled in the US and he is most interesting. We see dungeons, churches, castles fortresses and a statue of a famous Spanish soldier named Blazo de Lezo who has one arm, one leg and one eye. We buy a beer for our guide and a fellow passenger, tip a your expectant shop lady and trek back to the ship.
