Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
After a quiet day at sea, we sail into Los Cabos. The weather is cooler and windy. The sea has also become rough for the first time on this cruise. The topography is picturesque here with granite cliff and white sand beaches. Two other cruise ships are parked in the harbour and we can see this is going to be a busy day. There are seals, pelicans and hundred of marine birds all around us. Our stay is short as the ship leaves at 2 PM. We are taken ashore in a catamaran rather than the tender and after a short delay in the terminal. the bus with our guide Carlos takes us through Cabo San Lucas. It is full of shops, bars, restaurants and condos. One can see this is the California weekend getaway. We stop at a hotel for a beverages and photos of the harbour then on to San Jose del Cabo, We pass by miles of 5 star all inclusive resorts including Dreams. San Jose del Cabo is much quieter, warmer and less windy than Los Cabos and a better place to spend the day. The shops are plentiful and the fountains and square are picturesque. We pass by a cactus nursery then to a glass blowing factory. There is a line up on the dock but it is for the HAL and Princess ships. We are down to the last 2 nights of our vacation.
