Dubrovnik, Croatia
Sunday in Dubrovnik, Croatia is very picturesque and interesting. Dubrovnik is a walled city with much history going back to the Romans. They were occupied by the Venetians and Austral Hungarian Empire and of course were part of the former Yugoslavia. Our bus trip south first stop to a cliff outlook overlooking the harbour, then to a resort village name Cavtat – pronounced Savtah. Here luxury yachts along with shops and restaurants and crystal clean water make this place special. We then went to a family owned restaurant on a river where we enjoyed a local made lunch with Croatian wine. The tour of the walled city of Dubrovnik ended our journey. This old city was named a world heritage site. The locals remember the Bosnian Serbian Conflict and some evidence of that still exists.
