Our first sea day is about the ship - exploring and a little shopping. Formal night comes with steak and lobster. An early night and we are in Honduras.

The nice thing about cruising is that no 2 ports ever look the same.    Our first stop is the Island of Roatan. Known for its reef and great diving, Roatan has a developing tourist business and some things are just not very developed yet. There are two cruise ports here – Mahogany Bay and ours at Roatan.   Our tour is across and along the island to South Beach – Parrot Bay resort. This is a private condominium style resort with an open ocean beach, a man made lagoon and a large swimming pool with a waterslide and a swimming pool. We get some sun, Hailey and Meganh both swim across the lagoon and we enjoy local lunch of chicken wings, deep fried fish and salads. It was tasty and the hosts were marvellous. The rest of the day was spent in the resort pool with the waterslide getting the most use.
