We say we live next to the greatest scenery on earth but never see it. Friday was different. We drove North along the foothills toward Sundre, Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley then Hinton. Visited friends there, camped at the HolidayInn then next day onward to Jasper, The Columbia Icefields Highway and past Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore and Calgary. Paving on the Trans Canada dropped the speed to about 8 kmh with more than an hour delay. We have not done this drive in years and the views were amazing.
