Traveling to Bryce Canyon City

Bryce Canyon City, Utah, United States
Started out to Bryce Canyon City driving through Provo where BYU is.  The 5 hour drive took us through some not so populated areas.  For lunch, we stopped in Fillmore, UT and at Cluff’s Carhop Cafe where there actually are car hops!  We ordered inside and ate lunch on the patio.  Cheeseburgers and fries.  And, Dick’s chocolate shake was more like a chocolate sundae!  Pretty good food for a 1950’s style restaurant which is 71 years old!
Arrived in Bryce Canyon City, checked into the hotel, and then, set out for dinner at the lodge at the Bryce Canyon Park.  Due to Covid restrictions, masks required.  Ordered dinner with a cashier, and found a  table.  When the pager buzzed, Dick, with mask on, went to a table to pick up dinner.  Dinner was in a white paper bag, and entrees in plastic containers.  Dick ordered a chicken quesadilla and I ordered almond crusted trout, asparagus, and rice pilaf.  All were delicious.
After dinner, we went to the Sunset Point where you could see the beautiful Bryce Canyon. Incredible views and red rock unlike anything we’ve seen before.  Walked a little bit of the Rim Trail.  We also drove over to the Sunrise Point which had a different view of the canyon.  While driving we saw deer grazing in the meadow.
Tomorrow, we’ll go the park by shuttle.  So, good night. More Bryce Canyon tomorrow!
