Partying the night away

Siem Reap, Cambodia
The day after Angkor Wat, we were still quite tired and achy. We had breakfast and a long lay in. Then we headed down to the backpacker areas. There's a road called pub street, which is full of the pubs and bars, as you can expect. There are skid numerous fish spa places where the locals try and make you feel guilty. Their slogan says 'please feed our hungry fish'! I resisted the temptation, however. We had some lunch in one of the bars on pub street, then headed back to our hotel to book a bus for tomorrow and pack our stuff.

Later that evening, we headed out to have dinner in one of the restaurants on pub street. It's really noisy at night and there are plenty of nightclubs surrounding the area. It's full of backpackers as you can imagine. We were seated in a restaurant where it was a bit close for comfort, this American couple were practically sat next to us. So we hurried our dinner and left.

We headed to the night market, so had a look around there for a while. Afterwards, we stumbled across a lovely bar. The good thing was it was just chilled out, unlike all those bars in pub street. I had a few strawberry daiquiris, so was feeling a little tipsy as I hadn't drank in a while. We decided to head back to pub street and get a drink before we went back to the room. We went to the Temple Club. It was heaving and really noisy, so after having a few drinks it seemed like a good idea. John saw a pool table in there, so decided to play. Although tonight, he wasn't playing to his usual form and lost a couple of games of doubles. There was a guy who was as good as him, but he didn't get to play one on one. I had some vodka red bulls in here, they were really cheap, so I had a one too many. We had a good evening though and ended up dancing the night away. We stayed out much later than we should've done though! I'll be feeling it in the morning when we have to catch a bus!
